Junior Come & Try Day – What a Day!
What an incredible day for junior rugby in Eltham!
Our Come & Try Day was a huge success, with more than 30 kids coming along to give rugby a go. From first-timers who had never touched a ball to kids who had been eyeing off the sport for a while, the energy on the day was electric — and we are so proud to say that a great number of those kids have already signed up to play this season. 🏉💛🖤
Rugby is a sport for every body, and Saturday proved exactly that. Families came along, kids got stuck in, and by the end of the session there were big smiles all around. This is what Eltham Rugby is all about.

A huge thank you to our coaching crew who were out on the field giving every kid the best possible introduction to rugby — Nick, Ari, Ollie, Sam, Dave, Barry and Luke. Your enthusiasm, patience and love for the game shone through all day. You are the reason kids walk away wanting to come back.

A very special thank you to our Junior Coordinators Alana and Tate, who were the driving force behind the day from start to finish. The planning, the coordination, the energy — none of it happens without you both. Eltham Rugby is so lucky to have you leading our junior program.
Thank you also to Nat, Angela, Sylvia, Tim, Leigh, Ava, Andrew, JP, Roman and Alicia for everything you contributed on the day — every job big and small, every sausage flipped, every form processed, and every conversation had with parents and interested families. Those conversations matter more than you know. You are the face of this club, and you represented it brilliantly.

A huge thank you to the families who brought their kids along to act as club ambassadors on the day. Seeing familiar faces out on the field, loving the game they play, is one of the most powerful things we can offer a family who is thinking about joining. Your kids were wonderful and we are so grateful you made the trip.
Gearing up for the season
As well as welcoming so many new faces, we also took the opportunity to get a lot of our current players sized up — so they are already good to go when the season kicks off. It was a brilliant day all round for getting the club ready for rugby. 🏉
