If you purchase from the club shop, we may collect your name, email address, postal address and phone number but we will not collect your payment card type, number and expiry date. We will also monitor general customer/viewer traffic patterns and site use, which enables us to improve the service we provide. We are required by Australian legislation to follow strict procedures to protect customer information. We may use this information to inform/tell you about changes to the site, mailings and offers. We will assume that the information displayed on the site is accurate and up to date and take all reasonable steps to protect information from loss, misuse and/or alteration. If the club becomes aware that any information is inaccurate or out of date, it will make the necessary corrections (when supplied with amended data).
Security:
When facilitating purchases on the Internet, the Eltham Rugby Union Football Club (ERUFC) gathers the minimum information required for a credit card transaction. This information is only ever passed onto the client. It is not passed on to other parties, ever. Our secure server software (SSL) is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure transactions. Our SSL server encrypts all of your personal information including credit card details. All personal information is stored in our secure databases, for back-up purposes only, without card numbers, and access is strictly controlled.
Cookies:
This website uses ‘temporary cookies’ so that the site remembers what other items are in your ‘shopping basket.’ In this context, a cookie is a small data file containing a single number (and no personal information). This cookie is never re-used.
Photographs:
Photographs of players, coaching staff and spectators may be taken at matches, training and social occasions. These may be displayed on our website, newsletter, social media communications and at club events. They will be not be used for commercial purposes. If you prefer that photos of yourself or you children are not to be used by the club, please contact to notify ERUFC accordingly.
