Rugby union is a global game for all ages, genders, sizes and backgrounds. If you’ve never played before, that’s absolutely fine — most of our players started exactly where you are now.
The game’s values — integrity, passion, solidarity, discipline and respect — are at the heart of everything we do at Eltham Rugby. On the field and off it.
We offer pathways from as young as 4 years old right through to adult rugby. There’s no experience required — just a willingness to give it a go.
Senior Rugby
Eltham Rugby’s senior programme competes in the Bendigo Bank Conference Cup, part of Rugby Victoria’s senior competition structure. We are the defending 2025 Conference Champions.
The Conference competition sits within Rugby Victoria’s broader senior competition structure alongside the Dewar Shield, Ward Shield, Lindroth Cup and Bolton Cup Colts. Vic
Whether you’re returning to rugby after a break or looking for your first senior club, we welcome players of all experience levels. Training is open and new faces are always encouraged.

Junior Rugby
Eltham Junior Rugby Club offers pathways for children from 4 years old through to under-18s. Whether your child is taking their first steps in sport or developing their skills in a competitive environment, we have an age group for them.
Our junior programme includes:
- Get Into Rugby (GIR) — ages 4–7, non-contact, fun introduction to rugby
- Development pathway — ages 8–10, skills and game sense in a supportive environment
- Competitive pathway — ages 11+, structured competition rugby
Rugby Victoria has also launched the Victorian Junior Rugby Championship, a state-based competition for emerging players. Eltham players may be eligible for regional selection.

Training Times
Training is open to all registered players. New players are welcome to come along before registering — just get in touch first so we can expect you.
Community Touch: Wednesday at 6:00pm
U12s: Tuesday & Thursday 5:30–7:00pm
U14s: Thursday 5:30–7:00pm
Girls Rugby: Thursday at 5:00pm
U18s: Tuesday & Thursday from 6:00pm
Seniors: Tuesday & Thursday from 6:30pm Optional touch warm-up from 6:00pm
What to bring: Boots (moulded studs), mouthguard, water bottle, and plenty of energy. We’ll take care of the rest.

Eltham Rugby competes in the Bendigo Bank Conference Cup, managed by Rugby Victoria. All fixtures, kick-off times, venues and results are published and maintained by Rugby Victoria in real time.
