It was a packed weekend for Eltham RUFC, with strong efforts across the juniors, some unexpected changes for the seniors, and a fun-filled morning for our youngest stars!
Get Into Rugby
Eltham proudly hosted this weekβs Get Into Rugby session, welcoming a great crowd of young participants. Plenty of smiles, fun drills, and rugby joy all around β thank you to all the families and volunteers who came down and got involved!
U11 Juniors
Eltham 21 v Box Hill 49 A spirited Under 11s took the field under frosty conditions against Box Hill. Eltham were able to score some well-worked team tries, showing what the group can achieve when they put their heart into it. There were also some exciting individual moments β particularly from Izac, who ran most of the field to set up a brilliant try. πββοΈ
U12 Juniors
Eltham 50 v Moorabbin/Racing 17 After a slow start and feeling the pressure from a strong Moorabbin/Racing side who gained a two-try lead early, our Eltham U12 boys showed true heart. They dug deep, closed the gap before halftime, and came back in the second half with grit, discipline, and determination β walking off with a hard-earned 50β17 win.
U16 Juniors (Melton/Eltham)
Melton/Eltham 57 v Brimbank Bucks 26 Big win for our U16 Melton/Eltham team. Despite facing a bigger side and a tough moment with one of our players going down, the team stuck to the game plan, showed grit in defence, and finished strong. Proud of the effort, resilience, and heart from every player.
Seniors
Match Forfeited Unfortunately, our scheduled senior game didnβt go ahead due to a forfeit by the opposition. A disappointing result, but the team will be ready to go again next round.
