Thank you to everyone who attended the Annual General Meeting on Saturday — we had 19 members come along, one of our strongest turnouts in years.
The mood was positive, collaborative, and full of momentum for 2026.
Key outcomes from the AGM:
✅ The new Constitution was formally adopted by 100% of voting members in attendance – a major milestone for the club’s governance and future planning.
✅ We welcomed four new General Committee Members:
Tate Mukonza, Natalie Desbois, Nick Bursey and Leigh Thompson.
Their energy and fresh perspectives will strengthen our volunteer base and increase our capability for the year ahead. Thank you so much for stepping up to support our club. You’ll hear more about our new committee members in the next edition of the Wattle.
Leadership & the Future
At the AGM, Tim Adams shared that he will complete his term and step down as President at the end of 2026, giving the club plenty of time to plan for a supported and successful leadership transition.
To help shape that future, we are actively seeking a Vice President — someone who can support the President over the next two seasons and grow into the role.
Is this you? Don’t be shy — talk to us. Leading a club is a fabulous opportunity with many mutual and rewarding benefits.
You don’t need to be an expert — just committed, community-minded, and ready to make a difference.
Community Engagement
👏 We had a fantastic turnout from our junior members, showing just how strong and engaged our junior community has become.
