Women’s Fitness at Eltham πŸ‰

Building a senior women’s team at Eltham Rugby is something we are genuinely committed to β€” and this season, we are getting creative about making it happen.

Rather than waiting for women to find us, we decided to go and find them. So we put the call out for a women’s fitness session β€” no rugby experience required, no pressure, just a fun way to move your body and see what the club is all about. And it worked. Our first session was energetic, fun, and a little bit joyful β€” women got to move, sweat, laugh, and yes, get their hands on a rugby ball for the first time. They left buzzing, and more than a few were already asking when the next one would be.

That’s exactly the kind of response that tells you something real is happening here.

Leading the charge is Coach Nick β€” a dad to three girls, deeply passionate about rugby, and genuinely committed to making the game inclusive for everyone. Patient, knowledgeable, and brilliant with new players, Nick brings exactly the right energy to grow something special, and we are so glad to have him driving this programme forward.

Female participation and equality in sport is a core focus for Eltham Rugby. Wherever we can, we work hard to create space for women in the game β€” and building a senior women’s team is the natural next step. We are serious about making it happen.

So whether you’ve always been a little curious about rugby, or you’re simply after a fun fitness session with a great group of women β€” come on down. There is zero pressure to commit to anything beyond showing up. You don’t need experience. You don’t need to already be fit. You just need to give it a go. We promise you’ll have fun.

Bridge Street is already a pretty special place on a Saturday β€” but adding a women’s team to the mix takes it to a whole new level. Be part of building something from the ground up. Come and make history with us. πŸ–€πŸ’›
