Under 8s — Sunshine, Tries, and Teamwork
What a day out at Moorabbin Rams Rugby Club! With our numbers continuing to grow following the merge with Casey, the Under 8s arrived with a full squad and plenty of energy to burn.
The boys took part in another exciting three-way fixture against Endeavour Hills and Racing Rugby, and with the sun shining brightly, so did they. They played brilliantly as a team — showing fantastic teamwork, real determination, and scoring plenty of tries along the way. Week by week, the improvement is clear to see, not just in skill and speed, but in their sportsmanship and the way they support one another on and off the field. It’s a genuine joy to watch.
A big thank you to Deon for stepping up as coach on the day — the kids made sure to pass on a very important message: they scored very good tries, and Coach Tristan will definitely be proud of them!
A huge shoutout also goes to Amelia, who was quite literally everywhere at once, seamlessly juggling players across different age groups. You’re an absolute star, Amelia — the day simply wouldn’t have run without you.
And of course, a massive thank you to all the parents who jumped in to help out on the field. This club runs on people like you, and it means everything.
Get Into Rugby — First Tastes of the Game
Our littlest Eltham Rugby players had a brilliant day out at Moorabbin too! Smiles all round as the Get Into Rugby crew got their first taste of match-day action — and they absolutely loved it.
Special mentions to Mackenzie, who scored a try on the day 🏉, and to both Amari and Mackenzie who got a touch and a rip. Watching these kids discover the game for the first time is one of the best things about being part of this club. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for this group!
