Something is happening at Get Into Rugby — and four weeks in, you can really see it.
Week 4 brought another Tuesday and Thursday evening at Bridge Street, and with it more of the same magic that has made this programme such a joy to be part of. A special mention this week to Leanne and Hamish, who stepped up without hesitation to help coach when they were needed. Leanne knew she’d be separated from her son’s group, but she said yes anyway — and that kind of selflessness is exactly the spirit that makes GIR work.
On the field, the tries are being scored. Side steps are being pulled off. The ball is being moved beautifully. These are kids who, just a few weeks ago, had never played rugby — and now they’re running lines and making breaks and grinning from ear to ear.
Four weeks in, the growth is visible. New skills are clicking into place. And the smiles? They say everything.
If you know a child aged 5–10 who hasn’t tried Get Into Rugby yet, it’s not too late to come along. Find out more at eltham.rugby or reach out on our socials.
Come down and see what we are building. 🖤💛
