Eltham/Brimbank 21 – Geelong 17
A magic, sunny winter’s day for rugby — and a hard-fought win for our U18s. It was our first game back after four weekends off, and it showed at times, with a few small mistakes and decisions not quite up to scratch. But the commitment shown at training through that break paid off, and our basics and work rate came through when it mattered.
It was a physical contest, and neither side gave up until the final whistle. Both teams showed great respect for each other, and a big thank you to Geelong for their hospitality afterwards.
We’ve got four weeks to go, including a bye — not the ideal momentum heading into the business end of the season — but we’re confident we can build back to where we were before the break and peak at the right time. Well done, team! 🖤💛
