A huge thank you to Mhairi and everyone at Maroondah Rugby Club for their incredible generosity and support this weekend. With our home fields still unavailable, they welcomed us with open arms — opening their clubrooms and allowing our U12s match to be played at Maroondah.
Not only did they provide a fantastic venue, they also went above and beyond by putting on a delicious breakfast of bacon and egg rolls for our players, families and supporters. It was such a welcoming gesture and made everyone feel right at home.
The support we’ve received from the rugby community has been nothing short of amazing. A heartfelt thank you also goes to Northern Rugby Club, who did exactly the same for us a few weeks ago when we needed a home away from home.
A very special thank you also goes to all of our amazing Eltham parents and volunteers. Whether you helped with the early morning set-up, cooked on the BBQ, worked in the canteen, packed everything away at the end of the day, or simply stepped in wherever needed — your time and effort made the day a success. Community sport simply wouldn’t be possible without volunteers like you.
Rugby is so much more than what happens on the field — it’s the people behind the scenes who make it all possible. Thank you all for your continued support, friendship and commitment to our club. 🖤💛
