Wyndham 31 – Northern/Shepparton/Eltham 5
Friday night marked another exciting milestone for the Girls Rugby competition, with teams making the transition from 7-a-side to 10-a-side — allowing more players to take the field and keep developing their skills and confidence.
Played under the lights at Endeavour Hills Rugby Club, it was fantastic to see Ava representing Wyndham and Amelie proudly pulling on the Northern/Shepparton/Eltham jersey. Both played with real determination, showing great commitment, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the match.
While the result went Wyndham’s way, it was another valuable experience for everyone involved and a great showcase of the continued growth of girls’ rugby. Each week the competition gets stronger, with more players joining the game and building their skills.
The girls face another exciting challenge this Friday night, travelling to Shepparton for their next match. We wish both teams safe travels and look forward to another fantastic evening of rugby. 🖤💛
