This week, 27 May to 3 June, Australia comes together for National Reconciliation Week β and at Eltham Rugby, we’re proud to stand alongside the theme: All In For Reconciliation.
Rugby has always been a sport that brings people together. On the field, it doesn’t matter where you come from β what matters is that you show up, you commit, and you back the person next to you. That’s the spirit of reconciliation too.
As a club, we acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land we play on at Bridge Street. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
National Reconciliation Week is a time to learn, reflect, and take action. We encourage all our players, families, and volunteers to take a moment this week to do exactly that β whether that’s attending a local event, reading up on reconciliation, or simply having the conversation.
We are a club built on inclusion. That’s not just a value we talk about β it’s something we live at training, committee meetings and every Saturday on the field.
