Over two dedicated sessions in May, 17 Eltham members took part in first aid training to build their confidence and knowledge in handling emergencies; from CPR to managing fractures, sprains, and concussions. Here are three key takeaways for all members:
- Know where the clubs defib is: Next time you’re in the clubrooms, try to locate the defibrillator. (Hint: it’s to the right of the fireplace.)
- Medical conditions: If you or your child has asthma or anaphylaxis, please let your team manager know and ensure your action plan is up to date.
- HeadCheck App: Concussions can be tricky. Download the HeadCheck app here: headcheck.com.au — it’s a great resource for parents and coaches.
Thanks to everyone who participated. We’re building a safer, more informed club community.
