Building Confidence in First Aid at Eltham RUFC

Over two dedicated sessions in May, 17 Eltham members took part in first aid training to build their confidence and knowledge in handling emergencies; from CPR to managing fractures, sprains, and concussions. Here are three key takeaways for all members:

  1. Know where the clubs defib is: Next time you’re in the clubrooms, try to locate the defibrillator. (Hint: it’s to the right of the fireplace.)
  2. Medical conditions: If you or your child has asthma or anaphylaxis, please let your team manager know and ensure your action plan is up to date.
  3. HeadCheck App: Concussions can be tricky. Download the HeadCheck app here: headcheck.com.au — it’s a great resource for parents and coaches.

Thanks to everyone who participated. We’re building a safer, more informed club community.
