What a way to start the season! The Eltham, Northern and Shepparton combined U14s took to the field for their very first match together — and they made it count.
It was a nail-biter from start to finish, going down 27–26 in a game that could genuinely have gone either way. For a group of boys playing together for the first time, this was a seriously impressive performance. Grit, teamwork and determination right across the park — pushing Southern all the way to the final whistle.
The atmosphere on the sidelines matched the occasion, with a strong turnout of supporters soaking up a beautiful sunny day. Plenty to be proud of and an exciting sign of what’s to come this season.
