What a way to kick off the season! The Eltham U12s took to the field at Box Hill for Round 0, facing two very different challenges across two halves.
First Half | vs Racing
The boys opened against a fast and lively Racing side and matched them for effort from the first whistle. Harvey was the standout with ball in hand, crossing for two tries.
Second Half | vs Wyndham
A fresh Wyndham side brought size and physicality, making for a very different challenge. The boys dug in and Nas grabbed a well-earned try to give Eltham a moment to celebrate. Going from a fast team to a big team in the space of half-time is no easy ask — the effort was there.
Special mention to Arden, Alex and Scott, who all played their very first competitive rugby match today. All three contributed brilliantly and should be incredibly proud.
Strong work in the tackle from Hunter, Harvey and Artie throughout the day was a real highlight. Plenty of promise in this group. Round 1, we’re ready. 💛🖤 🏉
