Sunshine, a packed clubhouse, medals for every player and a very popular reptile show. What a day at Bridge Street.
What an incredible day for junior rugby in Eltham! 🏉
On Saturday 10 October, our junior players, families and coaches came together to celebrate everything our teams achieved in 2026. The weather could not have been better, and it was wonderful to see the club rooms completely full of young people.
Every player received a medal, every player got a sausage, and some very special players took home a trophy. Congratulations to all of them.
And then there was the entertainment. We had a snake handler visit, and the kids absolutely loved it. Snakes, lizards and reptiles of all shapes and sizes were passed around, and the smiles on the faces of our players said everything.

Club awards
Two of our most dedicated volunteers were recognised with club awards on the day.
Alana Su’a received the Jim Speight Club Volunteer of the Year award, for putting her heart into the whole club, backing our seniors, juniors and committee, and making every new player feel at home.
Oliver Loughlin received the Paul Weightman Junior Club Volunteer of the Year award, for coaching Get Into Rugby and the U12s, supporting every level of junior rugby, and helping the club get the best value from our changerooms.
Congratulations to you both, and thank you.
Long service
Our 5 Year Awards went to Joshua, Khyall and Stefan. And a very special congratulations to Khyall, who received a 10 Year Award. Thank you for growing with Eltham Rugby.
Thank you also to our junior coordinators Alana Su’a and Tate Mukonza, and to the volunteers who made the day run smoothly. Many hands make light work, and a day like this is exactly why we do it.
Congratulations to all our juniors. Rest up, enjoy the summer and we’ll see you in 2027. Let’s go Eltham! 🖤💛
