Harlequins 47 – Northern Panthers/Eltham/Shepparton 19
The combined side travelled to Harlequins on a beautiful sunny winter’s day for another tough challenge. The first half was an even contest, with both teams trading tries — Jonny crossed the line after a strong pick-and-go from close range, and the side went into the break trailing by just one try.
The team came out with plenty of energy in the second half. Joshua led the way with some strong carries and solid defence, while Eli had an outstanding game, scoring two tries and putting in several crunching tackles. Chayton was reliable in the lineout throughout the match, and Blake impressed with some powerful runs.
Despite a determined effort, playing with just 14 players — and then reduced to 13 after a second-half injury — proved a tough challenge against a strong Harlequins side. While the result didn’t go our way, the team’s improvement, resilience and commitment continue to shine through each week. Well done, team! 🖤💛
