Northern/Shepparton/Eltham 49 def. Melbourne/Maroondah/Kiwi Hawthorn 29
A fantastic Round 13 performance from our combined Northern/Shepparton/Eltham U14s, who came away with a hard-fought 49–29 win at Maroondah Rugby Club.
It was a real nail-biter, with both teams putting in plenty of effort throughout. Our players showed great determination, strong defence and some fantastic running rugby to secure the win.
One of the most pleasing aspects of the game was watching this group continue to develop as a team. They are binding more closely together each week, their structure is becoming more noticeable, and the plays they have been working on at training are starting to come together out on the field.
It is an important result too, as the team continues its push towards finals. With byes in the remaining rounds, every opportunity to build and strengthen their game is valuable.
Well done to all our players on a fantastic team effort and a well-deserved victory. It is great to see the progress this group is making and the way they keep growing together.
