Our combined Eltham/Brimbank U18s side headed to Endeavour for an early kick-off, and it proved a tough day at the office. A reshuffled line-up after a few late withdrawals meant the players had to adjust on the fly, and Endeavour made the most of it early, crossing for four quick tries in the first 20 minutes to lead 29–0 at the break.
To their credit, the players came out swinging in the second half, scoring first and crossing the line three more times — only for each to be ruled out on review. The defence was much improved after halftime, but three further tries saw the final score land at 48–7.
Tough day, but a proud one too — this group kept competing right to the final whistle. Onwards, U18s.
