This week the Eltham Under 8s travelled to Southern District Rugby Club in Seaford to take on Racing Rugby/Southern District in what was an exciting milestone for the team.
For the first time this season, the team played a full match format, moving away from the three-way games that have been a feature of previous rounds. The kids embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and determination.
The team put in a fantastic performance, dominating the try-scoring throughout the match. Strong running, hard tackles and excellent defensive pressure were on display from all players, showing just how much confidence and skill the group is developing.
Most pleasing was the way the team worked together. The players are beginning to show real rhythm and flow in attack, supporting each other well and moving the ball effectively. Their teamwork and understanding of the game continue to improve each week.
It’s clear that this group is getting stronger week by week, and their effort, commitment and enjoyment of rugby are shining through every time they take the field.
