In addition to club interest in the Under 11 Grand Final last Saturday some club members endured the stress of the conclusion of the Melton Under 16 Team season. They were beaten by just 2 points after Wyndham City Rhinos kicked a penalty goal on full time!! Final score 24 – 22!
In the clearly competitive Melton side are two former Eltham Juniors: Ben Hurdle (played 2014 -2023 and Stefan van der Merwe played 2015 to 2016 and 2023). Both young men are well known at the club, (Ben still a regular with his Dad at Thursday Touch Rugby), and have parents who have been very significant Eltham Rugby volunteers.
