SENIORS – ROUND ZERO RECAP – Date: 5/4/25

Wow – what a moment for Eltham Rugby!
It was truly special to see a Seniors side run out in the Eltham colours for the first time in a few years – and what a return it was!

From the moment the team arrived at the ground, the energy was electric. You could feel the camaraderie as the players prepped in the change rooms, taping up and getting ready to represent our club. The atmosphere was alive with passion and purpose.

Watching the team take to the field was none other than our Club President, Tim Adams, and we know he would have felt an immense sense of pride seeing the Eltham jersey back in action at senior level.

The game itself gave us valuable insight – we now know where our strengths lie and what areas we need to build on. One thing’s for sure: this team is going to be a force to reckon with as the season unfolds.

A huge well done to our coaching staff for their hard work throughout pre-season and their continued commitment to this team. And to our Senior Coordinator, Roger – mate, congratulations. You’ve worked incredibly hard to bring seniors rugby back to Eltham, and your efforts are appreciated by the entire club.

And finally – to our senior players: thank you. Thank you for choosing to be part of this journey, for bringing your passion to the field, and for helping build not just a strong team, but a true Eltham Rugby family. Here’s to an exciting season ahead!
