We’ve had a dedicated core group of Under 12s showing up to training over the school holidays – and while we’d love to see even more of the team there, the smaller group has brought a whole lot of fun to the sessions!
With a few numbers down, some of the dads have been jumping in on drills, creating some serious father vs. son rivalries on the field. While the dads thankfully don’t have to do a lap when they get outplayed, the same can’t be said for the kids… Coach Ari hasn’t been shy in sending them for a run when the dads come out on top!
This has sparked some serious competition, with one notable showdown between our Vice President Russell Dunn and young ninja Harvey – who seems to have a natural sixth sense for predicting which way his opponent will duck and weave. Rumour has it Russell was spotted buying new boots last week to gain an edge… we’ll let the results speak for themselves next session!
A huge shoutout to everyone coming down and keeping the spirit alive during the break. Whether you’re running drills, having a laugh, or chasing down your dad with the ball, you’re building skills, friendships, and memories – and that’s what rugby is all about.
