U12s Match Report — Eltham 12, Endeavour Hills 64

The scoreline against competition heavyweights Endeavour Hills is a tough one — but it doesn’t tell the full story, and it never does.

Eltham U12s went toe-to-toe with one of the competition’s strongest sides on Sunday and never stopped competing. Endeavour came out firing from the first whistle, and by half-time had built a 40-point lead. But Eltham’s response in the second half was exactly what you want to see.

Harvey darted through three defenders off a lineout tap to score the first try. Then Roman broke out of a scrum, spread it wide to Louis, who tore down the right sideline for a magnificent 50-metre try — apparently scattering pigeons, ducks, and the referee along the way. Harvey added the conversion.

Endeavour ran out 64-12 winners, but the Eltham spirit shone through the whole match. Ethan was a constant thorn in Endeavour’s side all day. Cadence made a vital turnover. Roman was enormous at both ends of the field. And Harvey, Nas, Josh, Fraser, and Malaki all had strong moments.

This group keeps growing. Keep going, Under 12s. 🖤💛
