U16 Saturday, May 17

At Home (Melton) v Harlequins, heavy and consistent rain early in the day made the field heavy underfoot and greasey.
The potential of many handling errors from both sides was highly likely. However, the rain gods by-pasted the field, players and spectators. 90% of the game was played in dry conditions, but slippy and greasey.
Overall a hard fort battle, with many referrer interventions mainly due to the conditions, but, we had many penalties against us from unclear decisions which created more stress levels for the players and the second 1/2 being stop start. The boys showed discipline in defence and we held our composure well to come out on top by 27 to 15.
Cooler conditions approaching for training and game days but we are well into the season and round 5 is next.
Cheers Coach Russ
