What a fantastic day at the club yesterday, 16th March, for our 2025 Come & Try Rugby Day! The rain held off for a while, but even when it came down, it only added to the fun, because this is true rugby, playing our sport in the wet!
We saw so many new faces at the club, and it was a pleasure to meet new families keen to be part of our rugby community. The day was a great success, with our President, Tim Adams, welcoming and thanking everyone, and we were honored to have Kate Thwaites MP (Federal Member for Jagajaga) visit and say a few words.
Watching the kids run through drills on the field and enjoy games inside the club was fantastic. There were so many smiles as they received their club showbags, packed with merchandise and prizes. And of course, nothing beats a free sausage and an icy pole to cap off a great morning!
Even a power outage across the club and surrounding area couldn’t stop the fun, rugby spirit always shines through!
A huge thank you to all the new families who attended, and an extra special shoutout to our club committee and incredible volunteers. From running activities and cooking the BBQ to manning the bar and cleaning up at the end of the day, your efforts made this day possible!
We can’t wait to see everyone back at the club soon, bring on the 2025 rugby season!
